Silvertips Jr. Registration
Junior is the age group for players that are 17 to 21 years old. When players reach Junior, they move from ‘minor’ lacrosse to ‘major’ lacrosse.
Our Silvertips are a Junior B Tier 1 league.
Junior “B” Tier I is a very competitive level of Junior box lacrosse in Alberta. There are eleven Junior “B” Tier I teams; nine in Alberta (three in Calgary, one in Rocky View, one in Okotoks one in Red Deer, 3 in the Edmonton area), one from Saskatchewan and one from Manitoba.. The Junior “B” Tier I league is a stepping stone for players pursuing a position on the Junior “A” teams. For the most part, players are between the ages of 17 and 19 and develop their skills at the Junior “B” Tier I level before potentially earning a position on a Junior “A” team.
The Junior “B” Tier I league also has a player draft for the Calgary and Edmonton based teams, these drafts only include players graduating from Calgary or Edmonton based minor associations. Graduating Rocky View Minor players rights are held by the Silvertips.
